What triggers the creativity inside you?

What triggers the creativity inside you?
What is creativity? Well, many might think that it's just another wise, professional way to refer to at-work stupidity or craziness or maybe its just another name to suffice your absurd way of dressing. But in the dictionary, creativity is defined as: n. The use of the imagination or original ideas, esp. in the production of an artistic work.

Now the irony of creativity is that mostly, it is copied from an unidentified source that you'll never be able to find even if you employ the US Navy Seals who found out Laden on the task. Its not that there is no one who is truly creative and original in thoughts (yours truly is an example of true creativity...:))but the fact is that everyone has a creative side but you do not know it until somebody yells at you saying 'Friggin crazy man, that's creative' and suddenly there's an illuminated voice that echoes inside you stating 'yeah, he said creative'.

So what triggers creativity in common people?
1. Girls for boys and boys for girls
Imagine you're standing in a long queue for a bus ticket and there's a gorgeous girl/boy in front of you and everybody else in the queue is looking at her/him and the queue isnt moving cz the ticketing counter guy/girl is also looking at her/him and you think that you dont stand a chance cz you're stupid and not good looking than others and so you act stupid by commenting something that would defame the other onlookers, say you say 'Hey ticketing guy, focus man, you're handing people the currency and taking their tissue papers instead of money.' This, my friend, is creativity. You actually created a witty sentence to have the attention of the gorgeous guy/girl and you wont event know it that it was creative.

2. Diarrhea
Yeah, you heard it right. When you're into diarrhea, your creative juices get a free-flow permit. This triggers creativity because in normal life, you maybe Barack, Mussolini, Babbage, Brin & Page or Gates or whosoever is pretending to be busy but in this arena, you're just a sitting duck. You cant think of anything related to work here (Try it, you will feel that this particular pressure is more important at this time than any other financial or workplace pressure) and when you sideline your routine thoughts, creativity awakens. If you ask Mozart or Chaplin or any creative person, most of their ideas breed during these pressure hours.

3. Loneliness
When you are abandoned or are totally alone, thinking what went wrong and about how everyone you are friends with is enjoying the fruits of togetherness and you are sitting at home, doing nothing, your subconscious mind reaches down to the most cobwebbed dark corners of your mind where a shy, fearful and discarded creative genius is hiding from the lights of the world. Loneliness is a time when people really think of doing something creative, be it writing a poem on loneliness; doing a sketch that almost resembles something more accurate than an M F Hussain horse-clad painting or just start humming on a tune that you heard last when you were in kindergarten. That is when your creative genius will try to peep out into the illuminated world of worldly glitters.

4. Power cuts
Imagine that you are super busy, working on a tedious estimate that has to be done by midnight and you are already overtaken the deadline by 2 days and 23 hours and your bosses are calling you to send them the email ASAP, on the other line the client is bombarding your boss to teach you some deadline etiquettes and you are just frustrated and want to finish this thing immediately and then, there is a power cut. Suddenly, your world goes blank and you are feeling two emotions: one of anger that at this crucial hour this happened and second, of joy that finally you found an apt, true excuse of not doing it on time. This is when you start brainstorming about new ways you can mail it ASAP (Cz ur job is at stake) or you brainstorm some new-gen, impossible to question and totally believable excuses to say in the next meeting defending the pink slip they're going to give you. Power cuts disconnect you from the technology and make your thoughts travel into the primitive era, making you think more in-depth, with total concentration and with great thoughtfulness.

5. Travelling
What was Alexander doing when he discovered America? What were the Mughals doing when they found India? What was Chengez Khan doing when he thought of the great wall of China? They all were travelling (Dont know about Mr. Changez coz he didnt respond to my SMSes) but yeah, most of them were travelling. It is true that most of the ideas you get are when you are travelling, be it on a flight, a bus, a train, a cycle, a bike, a goat cart in Afghanistan or just on foot. This happens as while you're travelling, you dont have anything to do other than to relish the scenery and wait for your destination. At that time, natural sceneries or regional bloodshed might click-open the creative canons inside your brain and you start thinking of something creative, something like: Why did Changez khan go for the Wall when even Facebook has one? You try to find out and imagine things that really are very absurd. You might even think later on (when you arrive your destination) that whatever you were thinking was just meaningless (but it did have some meaning and every creative person knows that it is).

So, there are many things that trigger creativity inside you and awaken the creative genius inside you but all you need to do is to keep that creative part of you active for a longer time and when active, you should be aware that you're not being stupid or crazy or meaningless but your creative side is gaining momentum an so, you need to give it more air and more speed to get the best out of it, every time.
