It took me ages to decipher,
what thy eyes meant to me;
torturing and twisting,
had your sighs done to me;
many have I seen, gorgeous-rarest of few,
don't shy away if I say 'I Love You'.

When I opened my heart,
it was blackened with past;
your smile filleth it,
with joyousness vast;
when I look in the mirror, refection anew,
don't turn your back if I say 'I Love You'.

Oh God thy is not there,
its an utter disgrace,
bring me my girl;
let in my arms her embrace;
I've found you amidst the toughest treacherous venue,
Don't let me down if I say 'I Love You'.

Alas she knew about it,
finally did she confess;
she ran with her words across,
through her Lavender dress;
she stopped and whispered, those magical words,
Don't kill me if I say 'I Love You'!!

Lihaaz karne me reh gaya

A Gazal - A new experiment from my side. Never tried my hands and mind on writing Ghazals. Let's make my mind do some exercise and let my hands support it. Here it goes.


Us roz main unse izhaar kar baitha
is bechaini ke aalam se bair kar baitha
fir socha ki hogi uski kya samajh
rok ke zubaan main fir se khwaabon me kho gaya

fir na aya sukoon na neend ki koi khabar
chupa rakha tha wo raaz aur rahi wo bekhabar
na jaane kyon nafrat si jaagi khud pe
khud se baat karke khud khdu-hi se katra gaya

fir beete din, mahine, saal kaayi
zubaan meri fir bhi chup hi rahi
ho gaya fir main kisi aur ka aur wo bhi chal di kisike sang
aaj kal ki soch sirf kaash kehta reh gaya

ittefaq se mili ek din muje wo
khoobsoorat hote hain ittefaq bata gayi wo
kaha usne ki pyaar tha muje tumse par tum hi they roothe se
fir kosa is dimag ko jo lihaaz karne me reh gaya

mil jaye agar mauka ulte kadam fir jaane ka
na sunu dimag ki na gawaaun mouka izhaar ka
keh du usse jo hai dil ki baat
aur hass ke taal du wo lamha jo lihaaz karne me gum gaya
