Words starting with 'Re' - A writer's perspective on this nightmare!

Being a writer is tough, especially if you want to write something new, fresh, innovative, abstract, beyond the said & the done. And no matter which profession you are into, you wont be entertained for novelty. The words beginning with Re are often a big harsh blow to a writer's confidence, sometimes even making the writer feel confident about him/her being on the right road to what is wrong for the society. Here are a few words starting with these dreadful words 'Re', which prove to be a writer's nightmare and what they ACTUALLY, HONESTLY mean for a writer.

Re-work: Means the authority is trying to say that they didn't understand it and so, our client wont too and ultimately the target audience wont as well.

Re-do: How come you finished it so fast? Surely you haven't put proper thoughts in it. Do it again, this time, take your time...take 5 extra minutes....so send it in 10 minutes.

Revert: Be back to your original state of mind - writing something that has been written a thousand times already and then get back to us for feedback.

Re-assure: Make your readers believe that it is written by a Dickens or Stevenson, not you, who knows you? Oh hey, by the way, what's your name?

Reply: Reply on mail means "Something is not right". Reply to a task from a client means "Revert"

Re-word: Here's an ideal conversation between the client & the writer explaining this:

Client: "Actually, the words are not properly arranged in the sentence, can you please Re-word it"
Writer: "Uh...ok, what do you want me to do...to slice grammar, choke the essence, kill the context, rape the article and re-arrange the words so that I remember my first game of jumbled words?"
Client: "Exactly, correct, is it....you know it like!"
Writer: (chuckles) "Ok, Well!"

Restore: This word usually appears after the 13th or 14th re-work. This simply means, give us the first version.

Repetition: "There's too much tooo much, tooo much repetition in the the the article" Well, for a writer, this line means to analyse each and every word and make sure even articles in the article are not repeated. The writer then asks "Should I knock off the double letters in each word as well?" Client: "Let's se how it luks!"

Resign: When a writer resigns, it is his/her submission, not because of failure but because the clients/organization/bosses are using subjectivity as their weapon and plainly rejecting everything just because it doesn't match the style of their favourite writer...which, in many case, will be Chetan Bhagat!

Research: A tool of the fool! When a writer is asked to research, it clearly states, in BOLD letters that "DO NOT THINK ON IT....JUST COPY PASTE, RE-WORD and REVERT."
