Main tumse fir shaadi karna chahta hu...

It's been more than 3 years since I married the love of my life, Meera and these years have been like magic, you feel you've been through everything yet you feel you've just opened the jar of romance. But the fact remains that three years down the line, I feel I've missed a lot of things that I would have loved to share side-by-side with my wife. A whole new set of pre-wedding and wedding photoshoot is one of them, a brand new re-honeymoon is another (this time at an exotic location and for more number of days) and there's a lot more I want to do. Here's a bucket list, written in my own, favourite poetic style.

Ek baar fir tumhe pehli baar dekhna chahta hu
tumhaari sooni aankhon mein intezaar dekhna chahta hu

wo chhat par akele baatein karna, haste huye labon ko sanvaarna,
tumhari befikri ko ek baar fir dekhna chahta hu

yu kabhi chup-chup ke bin bataye anjaan shehar tak sair karna
us ishqaani hawaa ko fir choona chahta hu

haathon mein haath liye bhaagey they bheegtey huye jis shaam
us baarish ki thandi boondon mein fir nahana chahta hu

wo tang mohabbat ki raahein, judaaiyaan, akelapan aur tumse milne ki tadap
ye saare ehsaas tumhaare saath jeena chahta hu

wo manzar kitne hi kharaab they, par fir bhi fir se jeena chahta hu

shaadi se pehle ki wo andhiyaari raat, subha ka aanchal thaame huye soye hum,
us beinteha khumaar ka pyaala fir peena chahta hu

aur hanste-huye fere lena, aur shaadi ke baad engagement karna
wo utsukta fir mehsoos karna chahta hu...
main tumse fir shaadi karna chahta hu...

Kahaani tum ho meri

Tanha, akele ghar ke ek koney se
dekhti hai tujhko nazrein meri
kehti hai, door ho to door hi sahi par
zindagi tum ho meri

Tere andaaz-e-hasi ko suntey hain
chup-chaap doosre kamrey se
kehte hain, halki-halki si hi sahi par
hansi tum ho meri

Gussa rehta hai teri naak par
dekhta hu deewaron ke peechey se
kehta hu, naraaz hi sahi par
khushi tum ho meri

Gale lagaane ka jee chahta hai
mehsoos karte hain ghar ki dehleez se
kehta hu, masroof hi sahi par
sukoon tum ho mera

Tere baare mein likhne ki tamanna hai
kambakht kalam ruk-ruk ke chalti hai
kehti hai, lafz poore ho bhi sahi par
kahaani tum ho meri.

waqt

Zaroori hai...

Umr badhti hai, badhti rahegi,
kuch sukoon mein izaafa bhi zaroori hai...

waqt udta hai, udta rahega,
kuch waqt ka tajurba bhi zaroori hai...

khwaab aate hain, aate rahenge,
neend se jagna bhi zaroori hai...

hawaa chalti hai, chalti rahegi,
kuch hawaa ka rukh badalna bhi zaroori hai...

pyaar aata hai, aata rahega,
pyaar ka ehsaas bhi zaroori hai...

kalam likhti hai, likhti rahegi satya,
kuch dilon pe chhapna bhi zaroori hai...

Words starting with 'Re' - A writer's perspective on this nightmare!

Being a writer is tough, especially if you want to write something new, fresh, innovative, abstract, beyond the said & the done. And no matter which profession you are into, you wont be entertained for novelty. The words beginning with Re are often a big harsh blow to a writer's confidence, sometimes even making the writer feel confident about him/her being on the right road to what is wrong for the society. Here are a few words starting with these dreadful words 'Re', which prove to be a writer's nightmare and what they ACTUALLY, HONESTLY mean for a writer.

Re-work: Means the authority is trying to say that they didn't understand it and so, our client wont too and ultimately the target audience wont as well.

Re-do: How come you finished it so fast? Surely you haven't put proper thoughts in it. Do it again, this time, take your time...take 5 extra minutes....so send it in 10 minutes.

Revert: Be back to your original state of mind - writing something that has been written a thousand times already and then get back to us for feedback.

Re-assure: Make your readers believe that it is written by a Dickens or Stevenson, not you, who knows you? Oh hey, by the way, what's your name?

Reply: Reply on mail means "Something is not right". Reply to a task from a client means "Revert"

Re-word: Here's an ideal conversation between the client & the writer explaining this:

Client: "Actually, the words are not properly arranged in the sentence, can you please Re-word it"
Writer: "Uh...ok, what do you want me to do...to slice grammar, choke the essence, kill the context, rape the article and re-arrange the words so that I remember my first game of jumbled words?"
Client: "Exactly, correct, is it....you know it like!"
Writer: (chuckles) "Ok, Well!"

Restore: This word usually appears after the 13th or 14th re-work. This simply means, give us the first version.

Repetition: "There's too much tooo much, tooo much repetition in the the the article" Well, for a writer, this line means to analyse each and every word and make sure even articles in the article are not repeated. The writer then asks "Should I knock off the double letters in each word as well?" Client: "Let's se how it luks!"

Resign: When a writer resigns, it is his/her submission, not because of failure but because the clients/organization/bosses are using subjectivity as their weapon and plainly rejecting everything just because it doesn't match the style of their favourite writer...which, in many case, will be Chetan Bhagat!

Research: A tool of the fool! When a writer is asked to research, it clearly states, in BOLD letters that "DO NOT THINK ON IT....JUST COPY PASTE, RE-WORD and REVERT."
